A new chapter - here we go again!

This autumn Lucy Haighton, our lovely Artistic Director is taking a well-earned sabbatical. She has been the driving force behind the company for more than 2 years and we’ve achieved so much within that time, both as 50+ Contemporary Dance Sheffield, and as the performance company Third Bite Dance. We’ve made two films, taken part in residencies and workshops with visiting artists, worked with community groups, and performed in and around Sheffield. We wish Lucy all the best as she heads off on a year of travelling.

So the 50+ team have been working hard over the summer to get funding to allow us to carry on dancing in 22/23. We’re delighted to announce that we have secured funding from Awards for All for new 50+ classes, and a new project for Third Bite Dance, and we’re being supported again this year by the wonderful Enable Us at the University of Sheffield.
