Third Bite Dance is the performance company of 50+ Contemporary Dance Sheffield and is the only over 50s contemporary dance performance company in Sheffield and South Yorkshire. Third Bite Dance defies expectations of the older body and celebrates the adventure of ageing and empowerment through movement and creativity.

Led by 50+CDS Artistic Director Lucy Haighton, the company was established in 2021 and now has 19 company members. Since 2021 we have built an impressive body of dance works choreographed by our AD Lucy Haighton as well as guest artists / choreographers. We have also produced tours, curated and hosted live and online events, designed and delivered projects with partners across the city, facilitated and led workshops as older adult artists, invited guest artists and teachers to work with us and successfully fundraise to bring creative engagement opportunities to communities aged 50+ in South Yorkshire.
