I was, I am, I will be…

Third Bite Dance are creating new work! In September we worked with artist and choreographer Gus Watcham to create a new piece based on our sense of identity - real or imagined. We worked with movements that developed from our own writing based on “I was…. I am……I will be….”

Since then we’ve been working with our rehearsal director Karla Jones to develop the piece, using solos - created from our texts - and group movement reflecting the role of the individual within a wider structure.

We’re planning to show the new piece in early 2023. It’s a fantastic mix of Gus’s original vision and choreography from our wonderful short residency, and the material and ideas still being developed with Karla. The stimulus came from the notion of the individual - but we’re all loving the process of creating as a group!
